This page describes what data developerexperience.com and docs.developerexperience.com (together, “the site”) collect, how it is used, and who has access to it. The short version: the site is a static publication; it does not require accounts, does not sell data, and collects the minimum needed to operate and understand basic traffic patterns.
What the site collects §
When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically logs standard request information including your IP address, user agent, referring page, and the URL you requested. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and operational diagnostics.
The site does not require you to create an account, log in, or submit personal information to read any content. The contact form and the StyleOps order form are optional; the Forms section describes what they collect.
Analytics §
The site uses privacy-first analytics that record aggregate, anonymized information about page visits, such as page URL, referrer, country, and browser type. The analytics provider does not set tracking cookies, does not build cross-site profiles, and does not retain identifiable individual visitor data.
Forms §
The contact form and the StyleOps order form collect what you type: your name, email address, company details, and your message or order details. Each form also sends the website or campaign that brought you to the site, if any.
When you submit a form, this information is emailed to Developer Experience through the email provider Resend. It is used only to reply to you and to process your order. It is not sold or shared for advertising. To have your submissions deleted, send a request through the contact page.
Cookies §
The site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Some functional cookies may be set by the hosting platform for security or load-balancing purposes; these do not identify you personally. The site keeps the website or campaign that first brought you here in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab, and sends it only if you submit a form.
Search §
The site, including docs.developerexperience.com, uses Pagefind to power on-page search. Pagefind runs in your browser against a search index that is built and served with the site. Your search queries are processed in your browser and are not sent to a search provider or any other third party.
Third parties §
The site links to other websites and embeds occasional third-party content (for example, code repositories, video, or external documentation). Once you leave the site or load embedded content, the relevant third party’s privacy policy applies. We do not control and are not responsible for the practices of third parties.
Children §
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your choices §
Apart from the hosting provider’s standard request logs, form submissions are the only personal information the site keeps. You can ask for your submissions to be deleted, or for any other information you believe the site holds about you to be reviewed or removed, through the contact page. We will respond in good faith.
