StyleOps pricing
What a StyleOps license costs and what the flat annual price includes.
Your organization licenses StyleOps annually at a flat price. Everyone in your organization can use it. There are no seats to count, no per-document charges, and no usage meter.
What it costs §
The price is set by the size of your organization. Prices are in USD, billed once a year in advance.

You state your employee count on the order form when you sign, and again at renewal. If your organization grows during the year, your price does not change until you renew.
What the price includes §
- The Developer Experience style guide as machine-readable resources: 323 numbered rules and a 313-term word list, each with a severity and a rationale.
- Both modes of the toolkit. Optimize reviews documentation you wrote and reports findings. Generate drafts new documentation that follows the guide.
- The Vale configuration for the mechanical checks, the document templates, and the model prompts.
- Use by everyone in your organization, including the contractors who write your documentation, on any number of documents and in any number of repositories.
- Use in your automated builds and in your coding agents.
- Every update we publish during your term, including new and revised rules as the style guide grows.
- Email support. The Support section describes what it covers.
What you pay for separately §
Model usage: the model review, the verification pass, and generation call the Anthropic API using your own API key. Anthropic bills you directly for that usage. We never resell, mark up, or meter it, which is why this price is flat. Mechanical pattern checks use no model and cost nothing to run.
Optional services: adapting the guide to your house style, loading your product vocabulary, connecting StyleOps to your build system, and training your writers are separate engagements. Ask us for a quote.
What you own §
Every document you check and every draft StyleOps produces is yours. Developer Experience makes no claim to your content, takes no license in it, and requires no attribution.
Where your documents go §
Nowhere. StyleOps runs on your computers and in your build system. Your documents, your API keys, and your findings never reach Developer Experience. There is no account to create, no service to sign in to, and no telemetry. Model calls go directly from your systems to Anthropic under your own agreement with Anthropic.
Because nothing is hosted, there is nothing that can go down, and we make no uptime commitment.
How you get it §
After you sign the agreement and pay the invoice, we invite the GitHub accounts
you name to a private repository that holds the released toolkit. From there you
can install the Claude Code plugin, install the tools with pip, or copy the
chat files, whichever fits your team.
Support §
Email support@developerexperience.com or devrel@developerexperience.com on business days. We aim to reply within 3 business days.
Support covers installing and updating StyleOps, questions about rules and findings, and problems with the product itself. It does not cover writing or editing your documentation, or work inside your own build system. We help where it makes sense, and we own anything that requires a change to StyleOps, but your engineers own your build.
Renewal §
Your license renews for another year automatically unless either of us gives written notice at least 30 days before the term ends. If you renew every year without a gap, we cap any price increase at the change in the consumer price index or 7 percent, whichever is higher.
If you decide not to renew, your access to the release repository ends, and so do updates and support. The copy you already installed keeps working. There is no license check and no expiry built into the software.
Buying §
Order from the StyleOps order page, or email billing@developerexperience.com. We send the customer agreement and Order Form for electronic signature, then an invoice payable by card, ACH, or bank transfer within 30 days. The full agreement is published at the customer agreement page and available on request before you order.
